Prolong the lifetime of your t-shirts

12/09/2021

When you buy new clothing you want it to last for a long time. It should keep the same color and fit as when you bought it. There are many factors in play when it comes to the durability of your t-shirt, especially the quality of materials used in the production of the t-shirt. This is why we use high quality, organic cotton, which drastically improves the life time of your t-shirt.

There are also a number of things to be aware of when washing your t-shirts in order to improve durability of the clothing. Here is a list of important things to remember when washing your bareen clothing.

1.Wash your clothes at a maximum of 30 degrees.

On all of your clothes there will probably be a label on the inside of the fabric. Here is, amongst other things, information on the maximum temperature that you should wash this item on. On our t-shirts the label is on the left side inside the t-shirt. Here you can see that we recommend that you wash your t-shirts on a maximum of 30 degrees. This is best for the fit, color and quality of your t-shirt. Washing on 30 degrees is also enough to remove bacteria and dirt from the t-shirts. Lastly, it is better for the environment to wash on a low degree.

2. Stop using fabric softener

When you wash using fabric softener it really has no negative impact on the t-shirt, but it is however unnecessary and harmful to the environment. We wish for a better future and hope you will stop using fabric softener to help protect the environment.

3. Only wash your t-shirts with similar colors.

You should always color sort your laundry in order to avoid colors rubbing off on each other. White t-shirts should always be washed by themselves in order to avoid them taking on the color of for example the Burgundy t-shirt. You can also divide the clothes in light and dark colors, depending on how often you want to wash.

4. Skip the dryer

Just like the first suggestion, on the label we recommend that you do not use a dryer with our t-shirts. They can shrink a bit because heating cotton is not the best way to go. Also, it is better for the environment to keep the dryer off.

5. Hang your t-shirts flat when they are drying

If you want your t-shirts to keep the nice fit then it is a good idea to have them hang on a hanger. That way you will avoid creases to the t-shirts and them having a deform fit.

We hope this advice can help you to take good care of your t-shirts so they can be worn again and again and again.
